In 1996 Michael was the recipient of
the Memphis-based Blues Foundation’s “Keeping the Blues Alive” award
for Blues Promoter of the Year, and served on the board of directors
of The Blues Foundation (www.blues.org)
from 1999 to 2005. He is also a founding member of The Blues Music
Association (www.thebluesmusicassociation.com).
Michael is well known and
respected in the Blues Community of artists and Industry professionals
throughout the United States and Canada.
He spends a great deal of his time
travelling and networking with industry professionals; artists,
promoters, agents, managers and club owners to get gigs for talented
national and international acts in order to continue to “Keep The
Blues Alive and Well in the Americas.”
Michael also hosts a weekly radio show: ‘Mountain of Blues’ which airs
on 102.3 WDMT The Mountain every Saturday night from 8pm – 11pm, in
the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton NEPA market. All of his shows are archived
